The International Tax and Investment Center (ITIC) is a nonprofit, independent research and education organization founded in 1993 that focuses on tax reform and policies designed to improve investment climates in transition and developing economies. It serves as a clearinghouse for information on best practices in taxation and investment policy and facilitates dialogue among business and government through its neutral forum, drawing on academic analyses and policy studies to inform decision-making. ITIC collaborates with ministries of finance, customs services, and tax authorities across 85 countries, as well as international financial institutions involved in tax policy and administration, supported by a broad base of corporate sponsors. Based in Washington, D.C., ITIC pursues its mission through global thematic initiatives, regional tax forums, and capacity-building efforts aimed at fostering economic growth in non-OECD countries.
