inwi is a Moroccan telecommunications operator based in Sidi Ma’rouf, Casablanca-settat, with thousands of employees. It provides fixed-line, internet and mobile services to both individual consumers and business customers, positioning itself as the third operator in the Moroccan market. Since its launch in February 2010, inwi has pursued a simple, customer-focused approach to expanding access to telecommunications. As of December 2019, inwi served about 10.7 million mobile customers, representing roughly 23% of the Moroccan mobile market, and held about a quarter of the country's overall Internet market across ADSL, mobile Internet, and FTTH. In 2019, it became the first Moroccan telecom operator to obtain final authorization from Bank Al-Maghrib for its mobile money service via a dedicated payments subsidiary. The company was recognized by nPerf for providing the most performant mobile internet access in Morocco in 2020.
