Iowa Legal Aid is a private, not-for-profit law firm that provides free civil legal aid to low-income Iowans through 10 regional offices, providing services to low-income residents of all of Iowa's 99 counties. 

Iowa Legal Aid envisions a state where low-income people have access to services and resources to meet their basic needs and where all residents can vindicate their legal rights and be treated fairly throughout the civil justice system.

Iowa Legal Aid seeks to address the negative impacts of reductions in funding at the same time as the need for legal assistance is increasing. This includes steps to increase volunteer services by attorneys on behalf of low-income Iowans, increase funding for legal services and inform the public about the value and importance of Iowa Legal Aid’s services.
