IPI - Iowa Prison Industries is a Des Moines, Iowa-based organization in the furniture and home furnishings manufacturing sector that runs work training programs inside Iowa's correctional facilities. Its programs (Traditional Industries, IPI Farms, and Private Sector Work Programs) offer offenders hands-on training and productive work opportunities. The organization funds these programs entirely through the sale of its products and services, and it reports that more than seven hundred offenders participate daily, with over a million hours of training delivered each year. Access to its offerings is restricted to government agencies, school districts, non-profit groups and staff of these organizations.

IPI's model serves public-sector and non-profit customers by providing manufactured goods and related services. The description notes that the work training programs are among the more successful approaches to reducing recidivism, given that most offenders are released from Iowa facilities. The organization operates within the furniture manufacturing industry and relies on a self-funding model anchored in training and employment inside correctional institutions. In 2026, a development in the correctional system was reported: Aaron Sharr was named warden of the Clarinda Correctional Facility.
