NAMI Metro Suburban's Individual Placement and Support is the cornerstone to a diverse array of services, helping our members live their lives with dignity, independence, and respect by obtaining competitive employment. NAMI is the largest grassroots provider of education, support, and advocacy for individuals and families who have been affected by mental illness. 

Individual Placement and Support (IPS) is an evidence-based practice supported by Dartmouth University. NAMI's IPS adherence to best practice guidelines has made NAMI a leader in the field of employment for people with severe mental illness. 

A NAMI Employment Specialist will provide their services at no cost to employers. Each candidate is pre-screened in order to match the skills of our candidates with the unique needs of your company. Our goal is to minimize turnover and increase productivity with our dedicated, motivated, and reliable applicants. Our Employment Specialist will continue to support you and your new hire. We also connect employers with resources that offer business tax credits for those who employ persons with disabilities.
