Hackers Strike!

You’ve probably heard it in the news as it’s happening all too frequently. A company’s data, and perhaps automated systems, are being held hostage for a ransom. This is done by hackers who use “ransomware,” which is a software program designed to accomplish this criminal act. Companies have had to pay millions of dollars just to gain access to their data.

And the problem is getting worse. Ransomware attacks are growing at an annual rate of 350%. The cost of ransomware attacks is projected to be $11.5 billion worldwide in 2019.
