ISUZU Motors South Africa (IMSAf) is a wholly owned subsidiary of ISUZU Motors Limited, established in 2018 to oversee manufacturing and distribution in South Africa. Headquartered in Struandale, Gqeberha, in the Eastern Cape, it serves as a regional base for ISUZU’s long-term growth across Africa. The company manufactures the ISUZU D-MAX pickup and a range of trucks—from medium to extra-heavy—and distributes the MU-X SUV. It is noted as the first ISUZU manufacturing and distribution operation outside Japan with 100% ownership, and it employs hundreds of people. In 2026, IMSAf appointed Takashi Nishida as Chairman (Non-Executive Director), effective 1 April 2026.
