It Gets Better is a global nonprofit based in Los Angeles that supports LGBTQ+ youth and their allies. Emerging from a 2010 social movement, it now reaches millions of young people each year through media programming, educational resources, and a network of community-based service providers across international affiliates in 19 countries. The organization has earned an Emmy Award and has drawn support from Presidents Obama and Biden, as well as a range of public figures and more than 760,000 people who have pledged to share messages of hope and to speak up against intolerance. The work focuses on offering hopeful messaging and practical resources to counter stigma and guide educational and personal pathways. A recent development includes a partnership with Antioch College to create an unofficial ranking of LGBTQ+-inclusive colleges in rural areas of the United States.
