IVA Schmetz GmbH is specialized in the development and manufacturing of industrial furnaces for almost all application fields. Here the company benefits from the know-how of the formerly independent companies IVA Industrieöfen GmbH and Schmetz GmbH, which merged into one legal entity in February 2016. The brand names IVA and SCHMETZ continues to exist within this new entity. IVA stands for atmosphere furnaces and SCHMETZ stands for vacuum furnaces - they complement each other perfectly. Besides the sale of new plants IVA Schmetz also offers maintenance, repair and modernizations - also at externally manufactured furnaces. 

IVA Schmetz belongs to the Tenova Group, which is located in Castellanza, Italy. The holding company is a leader in the areas of metal and mining. IVA Schmetz together with the sister companies BMI, MAHLER, LOI and IVA Schmetz Shanghai with their respective main focuses is able to cover almost all customer requirements in the field of heat treatment.
