Jackson College is a mid-sized public higher education institution located in Jackson, Michigan. Founded in 1928 as Jackson Junior College, it later became Jackson Community College in the 1960s and adopted its current name in 2013. The college sits on a rural campus of more than 500 acres, about six miles south of the city, and it extends its reach through JC @ LISD TECH in Adrian and the Clyde E. LeTarte Center in Hillsdale. In addition to its main campus, the college provides a range of degree programs and workforce training designed to serve local students and employers. Recent initiatives include an articulation agreement with Grand Valley State University to expand healthcare education pathways.
