I paint what I see as beauty, and try to capture it bit by bit with each brushstroke as a color note, like a musical note, but with paint.  It is impressionistic in the sense that I only paint the essence of what I see in the subject, leaving out the rest.  The painting involves you, the viewer, to participate letting your own eyes, memories, and feelings finish the painting.
