At The James Place Inn, it’s all about personal service and little touches to enhance your stay, like free wireless internet access throughout the property, and the recent addition of a whole-house water filter and softener.

The allure might be the charm of the 1890 Victorian-style home.  It could be the service and hospitality of the innkeepers, Mary Ann & Bill Hinko. Perhaps it is the unique décor of each of the seven guest rooms and the attention to detail found in each.  Maybe it is the ease of location, making shopping, dining, kayaking, sightseeing, and many other activities all within easy reach.

Perfectly situated on a quiet side street just one block from LL Bean, amenities include private baths and flat-screen TVs with DVDs and cable in every room, (we have a DVD library available to you any time), as well as A/C.  Three of our rooms feature Jacuzzi tubs while another has a fireplace and private deck.  The Wisteria Room boasts a custom marble shower with a six-head shower massage and rain shower head.  Enjoy our cafe-style deck for breakfast, or lose yourself to the hammock with a good book or an afternoon nap.
