The Jana Marie Foundation is a nonprofit focused on youth mental wellness through creative expression and dialogue. It implements programs that use creative self-expression to help middle- and high-school students build coping skills, resilience, and self-esteem, addressing issues such as anxiety and depression. It also provides educational trainings for parents, teachers, and other community members to recognize warning signs and support the young people in their lives. Based in State College, Pennsylvania, in Centre County, the organization was established in memory of Jana Marie Vicere, who died by suicide in 2011. In 2023 it expanded its reach through partnerships, including a collaboration with Mount Nittany Physician Group to offer Teen Mental Health First Aid training.
