The Jay H. Baker Retailing Center is an interdisciplinary industry research center, at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. The center was established in 2002 through a generous gift from, Jay Baker, (W '56) and his wife, Patty. As the nation's first business school, Wharton partners with leaders of the retail industry. Our mission is to be the global leader in retail knowledge and education. We do so by: •Creating knowledge and thought leadership by facilitating academic research for industry applications •Sponsoring global outreach initiatives for industry, students, and alumni. We also engage retail leaders to participate in Center events •Developing curriculum, course offerings, and providing career advisory services for all University of Pennsylvania students
