Jemicy School in Owings Mills, MD, founded in 1973, is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in education for above-average to gifted college-bound students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. Jemicy’s highly individualized, flexible, and challenging curriculum is designed to provide its students (grades 1 – 12) with the learning tools necessary to manage the mechanics of language: reading, written expression, spelling, and organization. This is accomplished through the careful implementation of creative, multisensory, researched-based programs and techniques that build academic and higher order thinking skills. Jemicy serves the whole child, celebrating each student’s strengths while exploring individualized skills and strategies that will build a love of learning and the foundation for success in school and in life. Jemicy School operates two campuses just a short distance from one another in Owings Mills, Maryland. The Lower and Middle School Campus (grades 1-8) is located at 11 Celadon Road; the Upper School Campus (grades 9-12 + Upper School Prep Program) is located at 11202 Garrison Forest Road.
