The Jessie Smith Noyes Foundation supports grassroots organizations and movements in the United States working to change environmental, social, economic, and political conditions to bring about a more just, equitable and sustainable world. We believe donor advised funds can be strategically disbursed to advance social justice. By allowing significant amounts of tax-exempt, charitable funds to sit idle, donors are missing current opportunities to address pressing social problems and promote the public good. We want to help get those dollars out the door by partnering with those who have donor advised funds who want to support social justice work. We will align your interests and values with U.S. nonprofit organizations that can make a difference. For nearly 70 years, Noyes has addressed societal problems. We bring expertise in making grants and providing technical assistance to nonprofit organizations. You can tap into our knowledge to enhance your philanthropy. The current Funding Priorities are Environmental Justice, Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems, Reproductive Rights, and an Environmentally Sustainable New York City. The Foundation makes a particular effort to include in its funding portfolio a significant percentage of organizations led by people of color. We act as a guide for your giving, recommending vetted nonprofits to which you make contributions directly from your donor advised fund. We do not charge for this service.
