Based in Washington, DC, the Jesuit Conference serves as a regional coordinating body for the Society of Jesus and its collaborators across the United States and Canada. It supports a broad range of Jesuit works in pursuit of the order's mission to lead people to God, accompany the poor and vulnerable, empower young people, and care for creation. As a small-to-mid-sized nonprofit in the religious institutions sector, it brings together Jesuit institutions and allied partners to organize and sustain these efforts. A notable recent development is a 2026 partnership with Roncalli International to bolster community resilience to climate change and strengthen local economies through joint initiatives. It has also supported Walking in Service, a program that creates educational resources and activities to foster community-based leadership formation among Catholic Indigenous communities in Canada.
