Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JF&CS) is a St. Louis-based nonprofit in the individual and family services sector, delivering a range of social services to Jewish and broader communities in Greater St. Louis. These programs address five focus areas: helping people resolve problems, protecting children at risk, helping elders stay in their own homes, meeting basic needs, and strengthening Jewish connections. It provides clinical services for adults seeking mental health support and operates a Learning and Behavior Diagnostic Center for children and adolescents up to age 19, with school-based services available in the community. JF&CS operates Elderlink, which provides affordable in-home services to help older adults maintain independence, and also offers an In-Home Services/Homemaker Program with assessment, information, advocacy, and referral through contracted agencies. It also runs the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry and chaplain services that provide spiritual and emotional comfort to Jewish elderly and/or disabled individuals. In May 2026, the organization welcomed three new members to its Board of Directors.
