JLG Lawyers represents California employees who have been wrongfully terminated, discriminated against, harassed, retaliated against, or denied wages they earned. The firm was founded in 2009 on one belief: everyone deserves high-quality legal representation, regardless of what they earn.

Michael Jaurigue founded JLG after nearly a decade representing Fortune 500 companies at Sheppard Mullin. He knows how employers build the documentation used against employees in termination and discrimination cases. That knowledge is now on the employee's side.

Co-Founder and CEO Alex Tieu built the operational infrastructure that makes the firm's mission sustainable at scale. She came to JLG from real estate technology and venture capital, having led a brokerage to a $60 million exit, managed over $2 billion in transactions at Keller Williams, and served as COO at blockchain firm Propy. She applied that background to a law firm. 

JLG is not a mill. The firm runs a structured pre-litigation review process: every case gets a genuine evaluation before anything is filed. It is also not a boutique. Everyone receives the same quality of representation. The firm operates on contingency. Clients pay nothing unless there is a recovery. Initial consultations are free.

JLG also operates California's first Law Office Study Program, an apprenticeship pathway allowing paralegals to become licensed attorneys without law school debt.
