Tidewater, a JMT Division, is a natural resources consulting firm based in Charleston, SC that provides innovative solutions to complex environmental problems for our clients. Tidewater recently merged with Johnson, Mirmiran, & Thompson, Inc. (www.jmt.com). The addition of Tidewater expands JMT’s presence in South Carolina and strengthens the commitment of a 1,200 person firm to provide quality environmental services for our clients throughout the Carolinas, Georgia, and beyond. Tidewater was established in 2004 by knowledgeable scientists with over fifty combined years of research and consulting experience. Tidewater offers a full suite of natural resource services including wetland and stream restoration assessment, design, and monitoring, mitigation planning, mitigation banking feasibility studies and management, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) analysis, wetland delineation and permitting, coastal zone master planning, engineering, and permitting for docks, marinas and dredging projects, protected resource surveys, and water quality and sediment analysis. We also offer engineering services to support hydrologic, hydraulic, and sediment transport computational modeling, watershed analysis, floodplain mapping and permitting, and urban stormwater design, permitting, and management. We seek to serve public and private clients with a range of natural and water resource services that will facilitate and enhance necessary public infrastructure and private development projects. We also strive to create natural resource restoration projects that balance ecosystem restoration with specific financial objectives and to provide ecological asset valuations for our clients. Finally, we endeavor to offer environmental planning projects that promote stewardship of our natural resources.
