Jobs for America’s Graduates-Kansas (JAG-K) is a nonprofit organization that supports students facing barriers to success by helping them graduate from high school and pursue a solid career path. It operates as an in-school elective program taught by a JAG-K Career Specialist, delivering employability, career, and leadership development alongside academic remediation through the organization’s competency-based national curriculum. Each classroom typically serves 35 to 45 students, and participating students complete at least 10 hours of community service annually, with a 12-month follow-up provided after graduation. 

Based in Topeka, Kansas, JAG-K functions as the state affiliate of Jobs for America’s Graduates, a national organization founded in 2013 that has served more than 10,000 Kansas students. The program cultivates community connections to offer internships, job shadowing, guest speakers, and college or business visits, and it organizes multiple events annually, including three statewide gatherings and a national event in Washington, D.C. In March 2026, JAG-K appointed Toni Porter as Vice President of Marketing and Development, reflecting leadership expansion.
