Johnson's Backyard Garden is a farming operation based in Austin, Texas, with origins dating back to 2004 when the founders started growing produce in a small urban backyard and selling at the local farmers market. The business expanded from a backyard garden to a community-supported agriculture (CSA) model, growing to thousands of members over time and ultimately purchasing additional farmland near downtown Austin to increase growing capacity. Today, the company operates across multiple parcels near Austin, providing high-quality organic produce to CSA members and neighboring communities while continuing to expand its reach through mid-sized agricultural operations. The organization positions itself within the farming industry by focusing on locally grown, organic produce, supporting a CSA-based approach to deliver produce directly to households and families in the Austin area, with continued emphasis on sustainable growth and community involvement.
