Based in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, the Johnstown Tomahawks compete in the North American Hockey League, a Tier II junior hockey league. They play their home games at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena and pursue a fast, gritty, hard-working style of hockey while engaging fans and supporting youth hockey programs. With origins dating back to 1996-97 as the St. Louis Sting and later a stint as the Alaska Avalanche before relocating to Johnstown in 2012, the Tomahawks form part of a long-running junior hockey lineage. The organization also runs the Johnstown Tomahawks Foundation to provide charitable support and coordinate community programs and fundraisers. A staffing update in January 2024 included the addition of Subach for an upcoming weekend series.
