Joy of Motion Dance Center is a nonprofit performing arts organization that provides dance education and performances in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. It operates three studio locations, including Bethesda, Maryland, and serves more than 10,800 participants annually, spanning a wide range of styles and formats. The center's offerings are organized into four program areas—Community Dance School, Motion Exchange, Dance Institute, and Center Stage—covering class-based learning, school partnerships, conservatory-style training, and live performances for all ages and abilities. As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, it engages with schools and community groups to broaden access to dance and support youth development within the DC region. In 2021, it launched a Hot Joy Summer pop-up series, reflecting an effort to expand programming beyond its core calendar.
