Judson Independent School District is a public education system in the Live Oak area of Texas, overseeing 29 schools and about 23,500 students across 55.87 square miles. It serves the incorporated cities of Converse, Kirby, and Selma, along with portions of Live Oak, Universal City, San Antonio, and Schertz, and stands as the fourth largest district in Bexar County. The district is fully accredited by the Texas Education Agency. Its mission centers on K-12 public education for families and communities within its service area. In September 2025, Judson ISD opened the Wraparound and Health Center in partnership with University Health, reflecting expanded student support services. In early 2026 the district appointed an interim superintendent, and later that year faced reports of financial management concerns, safety issues, and declining academic performance, culminating in the superintendent's contract termination and retirement, alongside leadership changes such as a principal departure in June 2026.
