Jupiter Trading has built a strong supplier and customer base around the world over the past four decades and are the largest supplier of paper and paperboard products to the Sri Lankan printing, publishing, converting and packaging industries.

We expanded our reach in the paper industry in 1995 by opening an office in Chennai, India. DuroCell International and Jupiter Agencies (India) supply paper, paperboard and recycled fibre across India and to parts of Bangladesh.
In 2003, we moved into our own office building in the plush surroundings of Lake Drive, a feat that was beyond imagination in 1975 and a testament to the growth of our business under the strong and visionary leadership of Dudley Thambinayagam.

The Jupiter group then diversified business by entering into the local and export polythene industry. Jupiter Packaging manufactures a range of quality printed and plain H.D.P.E, P.P and L.D.P.E Poly bags and films for the local and export packaging industries.

Further expansion saw us simultaneously enter the thriving pharmaceutical & coir industries, as well as obtaining the reputed Waterman Pen franchise for Sri Lanka. Jupiter Pharma is the sole representative to BioPharma, Bangladesh and is an ever-growing presence in the industry.

But as always paper is the heart and soul of our business and in 2011 we opened a subsidiary in the United States of America, a stepping stone in achieving our vision of being a truly global force in the industry, as well as expanding locally by entering the fine paper sector, in Sri Lanka, through an exclusive partnership agreement with Gruppo Cordenons, Italy.
