Justice in Aging is a national nonprofit focused on improving the health and financial security of low-income older adults, with particular attention to women, people of color, and other traditionally disadvantaged communities. A core team of attorneys specializes in Medicare, Medicaid, LTSS, Social Security and Supplemental Security Income, delivering training and technical assistance to thousands of aging professionals each year and designing strategic advocacy that affects millions of seniors. Its advocacy encompasses litigation to preserve essential benefits as well as policy work aimed at better integrating health care with long-term services and supports, supported by three home-base offices in Washington, DC; Los Angeles; and Oakland.

Justice in Aging traces its origins to 1972, when it began as the National Senior Citizens Law Center, and has since grown into a nationwide platform for aging-focused advocacy. Its work targets aging professionals, policymakers, and service providers seeking to secure benefits and improve care systems for low-income older adults in underserved communities, with initiatives such as the 2024 Data for Equity Fellowship and a 2024 video series designed to educate advocates about changes to the SSI program.
