The City of Jyväskylä is a municipal government in Central Finland, based in Jyväskylä, with a city population of just over 150,000 and a regional population around 177,000. It places a strong emphasis on education and lifelong learning, supported by a large student and schoolchild presence and by about one-third of residents holding higher education degrees.
