K9s For Warriors is a nonprofit organization that provides trained service dogs to military veterans across the United States who live with PTSD, traumatic brain injury, or military sexual trauma, at no cost to the veteran. The program partners rescued dogs with veterans and is supported by research from the University of Arizona’s OHAIRE Lab, which explores the role of service dogs in mitigating PTSD symptoms and supporting independence. Founded in 2011 as a 501(c)(3) entity, the organization emphasizes rehabilitating dogs and pairing them with veterans in need, with a broader aim of raising awareness about veterans’ mental health and driving policy-level reform. It is based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. 

The organization operates nationwide and reports that more than 1,000 veterans have been paired with service dogs and more than 2,000 dogs have been rescued to date. A recent development includes a collaboration with Talking Rain Beverage Company announced in April 2026 to advance its mission.
