Kamehameha Schools is a private charitable trust endowed by the will of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop, created to improve the capability and well-being of Hawaiians through education. It operates an educational system serving more than 6,900 students at K-12 campuses on O‘ahu, Maui, and Hawai‘i island, along with nearly 30 preschools statewide, and it reaches more than 40,000 additional learners through community outreach programs. The organization is based in the United States and supports its work through nine operational groups and a workforce that includes seasonal staff to support programs such as athletics and intersession activities. Its programs serve Hawaiians and other learners via a statewide campus network and outreach initiatives, with endowment-backed resources sustaining long-term educational activities. In March 2026, KS Bishop Estate announced the appointment of Eric Yeaman as a trustee on Ke Kula ʻo Kamehameha's Board of Trustees.
