KATEN CONSULTING is a New York-based professional development training company and Certified Women's Business Enterprise (WBE). KATEN CONSULTING conducts group training programs and one-on-one coaching sessions in 4 key topics: Executive Presence, Communication Skills, Individual and Team Presentations, and Business Social Etiquette. Laura Katen is the Founder / CEO of KATEN CONSULTING. Ms. Katen travels over 100 days across North America for speaking engagements. She divides her time giving Keynote talks at various national conferences, leading group-training programs, and facilitating one-on-one coaching sessions for clients spanning a multitude of industries, titles, and positions. Laura works as adjunct faculty in the Communications Department at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY; is a Business & Dining Etiquette specialist having attended the Protocol School of Washington; received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with extensive training in Voice and Speech from Carnegie Mellon University; and simultaneously attended Chatham College to study Education. Prior to co-founding KATEN CONSULTING in 2003, Ms. Katen began her corporate career in the financial services industry at Merrill Lynch.
