Founded in 1908, Burke's or Katherine Delmar Burke School is an independent K-8 school for girls located in San Francisco, California.

Burke’s mission is to educate, encourage and empower girls. Our school combines academic excellence with an appreciation for childhood so that students thrive as learners, develop a strong sense of self, contribute to community, and fulfill their potential, now and throughout life.

Burke's has a unique 3.5 acre campus in the Sea Cliff neighborhood of San Francisco. With 65% open space, our expansive outdoor campus is unsurpassed in the city with a large grass athletic field, a sports court and two multipurpose courtyards with play structures. Our facilities are state-of-the art and include a 5,500 square foot library, two technology labs, three science labs, five art, music and drama studios, a gymnasium/auditorium and large light-filled classrooms.

However, it is not simply our acreage or outstanding facilities that distinguish Burke's; it is what our campus enables our students and teachers to do.
