Since the early 1940s, Kawahara Nurseries has worked to grow and supply quality nursery plants to retailers in the California region. We have been committed to providing our customers with the best possible service and product selection, while continuously looking to improve. 

This commitment began over 70 years ago with Sam and Jean Kawahara and their four children on a 2-acre nursery in San Lorenzo, California. Striving to perfect the jumbo pack varieties, the family pioneered the reputation of quality and excellence. With this foundation, sons David and John, expanded the nursery to Morgan Hill, California in the early 80s where they broadened product selection to premium annuals, perennials and edibles in quart and gallon sizes.

Today, Kawahara Nurseries continues to operate with multiple generations of family members and its 200+ employees. Spanning over 140 acres and offering more than 10,000 plant varieties, we currently grow in two facilities in Morgan Hill and Gilroy.
