KC Wirefree was founded in 2003 as a specialty Bluetooth module manufacturer and custom firmware programming company, originally developing Bluetooth v1.1 systems. We were sanctioned as a customer support spin‐off group from Zeevo Inc., a Bluetooth chip company later acquired by Broadcom. KC Wirefree Bluetooth modules are pre‐licensed wireless subsystems, ready for installation into OEM products. A typical Bluetooth module is a miniature subsystem on a surface mount printed circuit board containing a microprocessor, flash memory, digital audio system, radio transceiver, and antenna. Our modules are manufactured in the USA, China, and Taiwan. KC Wirefree modules are used in over a million Bluetooth devices worldwide, spanning 3 Bluetooth chipset manufacturers and 6 versions of Bluetooth, with some modules maintaining backward compatibility to our original release for the benefit of our long term, commercial and industrial clients. Our modules are sold worldwide, directly from headquarter facilities in Arizona, and through several international specialty wireless distributors. We provide a comprehensive suite of Bluetooth data, audio, and low energy modules and engineering services. We are one of the leading custom firmware development companies, able to deliver unique and proprietary solutions that leverage and expand the wireless capabilities of a Bluetooth chipset platform, for the purpose of providing best in class performance for our client’s OEM products.
