Keep Playing Baseball ("KPB") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to providing the most accurate information and advice on the college baseball recruiting process at no cost. Above all else, our mission at KPB is to give every high school baseball player the knowledge and resources needed to play college baseball, succeed as a collegiate student-athlete, and graduate from college.

We created KPB in memory of Scott Heinig, a young high school coach and former Division 1 pitcher who passed away in 2011. Scott was dedicated to helping high school players succeed and have the opportunity to play baseball in college and KPB was created to continue this effort.

Since launching www.KeepPlayingBaseball.org as a free resource in 2012, KPB’s capacity to address barriers faced by high school baseball players and their families as they navigate the daunting college baseball recruiting process has continued to grow. In the last year alone, we have launched an informational podcast, upgraded to a new mobile-friendly website, and created KPB Recruiting 101, a new resource housed on the website that provides a road map to college baseball for aspiring ballplayers. As our resources have improved, so have the number of people turning to KPB for help. Our yearly web user total has increased from 3,000 in 2012 to over 73,500 in 2018.

KPB’s aim has always been to make college baseball more attainable for high school players of all backgrounds. After incorporating in 2015, receiving our nonprofit designation in 2016, expanding our in-person educational efforts in 2017, and starting a partnership with the Junior Giants in 2018, KPB’s ability to deliver on our mission has never been stronger. Leveraging a network of college baseball insiders, KPB’s “player-to-player” information comes directly from those who know college baseball best—current and former college coaches, players, and parents of players. All KPB’s resources are free, no sign-ups, fees, or strings attached.
