KEI Industries Limited, headquartered in New Delhi, is a long-established manufacturer in the electrical and electronics sector, with origins dating to 1968 when it began as Krishna Electrical Industries focused on house wiring rubber cables. It became a public company in 1992 and expanded through acquiring Matchless in 1996, broadening into stainless steel wires; in 2010 it entered the extra-high voltage cable segment in collaboration with BRUGG Kables AG. Today, KEI produces and markets a broad range of cables and wires, including EHV and other power cables, control and instrumentation cables, rubber and flexible wires, submersible cables, winding wires, and stainless steel wires. The company serves a wide spectrum of sectors—power, oil refineries, railways, automotive, cement, steel, fertilizers, textiles, and real estate—addressing cabling needs for both private and public projects. It operates with a diversified domestic and international footprint and has recently expanded its manufacturing presence with new facilities in Sanand, Gujarat, initiating the first phase of production in December 2025.
