Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kennedy Heights Arts Center is a nonprofit organization that uses arts and cultural experiences to enrich surrounding neighborhoods. Founded in 2004 by local residents who organized to save a historic mansion from demolition, the organization later partnered with two other nonprofits to transform an adjacent long-vacant grocery store into a cultural campus. Its mission centers on diversity, creativity, and community through art that actively engages residents. Each year, the center serves a diverse audience of more than ten thousand people with exhibitions, artist residencies, education programs on campus and in two public schools, an afterschool jazz academy, public art projects, and cultural events from music performances to festivals. All programs are free or offered on a sliding scale to improve accessibility, and the organization is a member of OF/BY/FOR ALL, a global network advancing equity in arts and civic life.
