KentuckianaWorks serves as the Louisville region’s workforce development board within the government administration sector. Based in the Louisville area, it assists job seekers across Bullitt, Henry, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, and Trimble counties by helping them secure jobs and access education and training opportunities. It also connects employers with skilled, qualified workers to address local labor market needs. 

The organization collaborates with community partners to expand access to career resources. A notable initiative is The Spot, a joint effort with Goodwill Industries of Kentucky that offers free tools and support to young adults ages 16-24 in the Louisville region. It has also partnered with groups such as Greater Louisville Inc. and the Louisville Urban League on workforce development initiatives, including programs designed to broaden diversity in construction and improve recruiter-candidate connections.
