The largest radiology physician group in the Southern San Joaquin Valley celebrates more than 50 years in the community. Kern Radiology was founded in 1968 by a local radiologist and is still owned by a team of local radiology physicians. Local ownership ensures commitment to our community. In Bakersfield, community is very important. Keeping services local allows us to work directly with the clinicians in the community and provide services that specifically meet the needs of the patients they serve. 
Our Board Certified radiologists currently support 7 local imaging centers, 3 local hospitals as well as provide services to a number of other providers throughout Kern County. 
Although not always portrayed as such, Bakersfield is a thriving and affordable place to live and raise a family. In fact, it's Bakersfield's strong sense of community and family and its booming oil and agriculture industries that keep the region thriving. 
Our central location allows you to be close to major cities such as Los Angeles and San Francisco. You are also just a short drive away from the Sierra Nevada Mountains with playgrounds like Sequoia National Park and Yosemite and a couple of hours from the uncrowded and beautiful beaches and beach towns of Central California. There are several nearby lakes, rivers and reservoirs for fishing and boating. Some of California's best downhill and cross country skiing are only a few hours’ drive from Bakersfield.
