Kids Company was a UK charity in the Individual and Family Services sector, based in London. It worked with hundreds of vulnerable children in London and Bristol, delivering services to support families and child welfare, and operated at a scale typical of a mid-sized charity. The charity ceased operations in August 2015 after a Metropolitan Police inquiry into sexual assault allegations, with the investigation concluding in 2016 that there was no evidence of criminality. In 2021 the founder and several former trustees won a High Court battle over disqualification from other organisations, with the court clearing them of personal wrongdoing. The judge indicated that unfounded allegations of criminal activity contributed to the closure and noted that a government-backed plan to restructure the charity's finances had been in place before its collapse.
