KGH is at the intersection of fear and fact, a place we have navigated to after training thousands of individuals across the U.S. and Her Territories. We learned that there are a number of universal truths supported by evidence-based research of active shooter events from 1966-present.  These include a compelling need for enhanced awareness of behavioral indicators, an acceptance that bad things do happen to good people, which dispels the notion that absent a plan, an otherwise completely capable workforce is ready and able to respond to an active threat.  

We also have developed an approach to preparedness education at the community level to enable citizens to have the knowledge of what to do and how to do it should an ordinary day turn into an extraordinary day because of a violent event or even, natural disaster.  Replacing fear with confidence and decisiveness is often the difference between becoming a victim, or being a survivor.  The Preparedness Without Paranoia (PWP®) approach is based on the premise that security sense is common sense, easy to understand, easy to implement and carry as a lifelong skill.
