Since our beginning in 1980 we believed, but had no proof or example to follow, that weekly service calls to maintain indoor office plants was horticulturally unnecessary and environmentally irresponsible. We were alone in embracing this belief. Our determination to reduce service intervals, fleet emissions and labor costs resulted in the development and application of a variety of self-watering technologies which did not require plumbing and worked in any plant-in-a-pot.
In 1982 we were asked by American Savings Bank to design, install and maintain plants in 56 branches throughout northern California. We installed over 500 plants; all in self-watering pots. The remarkable success of the 500+ plants over the 7 years we held the contract was our proof; Weekly watering was obsolete!
With more technical expertise than any other plant provider, we have become the leaders in interior irrigation design and customer support focusing on cost savings while improving the environment. We are the only plant company in the nation, maybe even the world, able to make this claim.
These days, we are designing plants-as-art going for the "WOW" using rare, remarkable and one-of-a-kind plant designs replacing the old fashioned, ficus tree-in-a-pot in-a-corner. Some of these designs can be found on our Installations , LiveART and ExecART pages.
