King David Tacos is a New York City–based player in the food and beverage services sector. It was founded and is led by a born‑and‑bred Austinite who aims to introduce Austin’s breakfast tacos to New York, targeting busy residents with a practical, on‑the‑go morning option. The company centers on delivering breakfast tacos suited to a fast‑paced urban lifestyle.

In early 2021, the brand opened its first brick‑and‑mortar location in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, marking a move beyond its initial cart format and broadening its footprint in New York City. The business has engaged in several collaborations, including a 2021 partnership with Blank Street to launch tech‑enabled, zero‑emissions taco‑coffee carts and a 2022 collaboration with Vital Farms to offer complimentary Saturday breakfast tacos; however, it closed its last Manhattan taco cart and related offices in January 2024, reflecting a contraction of its Manhattan presence.
