Specialty applications include LTL,  air charter, expedite, heavy haul and flat bed.  Our major product groups are automotive parts and supplies; textiles; printed matter and electronics.

KMX has specialized in automotive related transportation since 2004 and today it represents the majority of our nationwide business.  KMX is a core carrier for General Motors and Ryder Logistics Services and a past member of the GM Carrier Council.  We serve automotive plants and suppliers in the Midwest, Southeast, Mid Atlantic and West Coast.  These operations touch assembly manufacturing; transmission manufacturing; metal stamping and metal fabrication.  Today, our reach into automotive reflects a broad customer base for OEM and after market production moving automotive parts and supplies from plant to plant, plant to supplier, and supplier to plant.  We have established a large presence at the Mexico/U.S. border cities of Laredo, Brownsville and El Paso, Texas to serve the needs of automotive suppliers and assembly manufacturing..

Our non automotive operations are highly concentrated in the Carolinas, Pennsylvania,Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee and the Midwest and much of that activity is a mix of truckload and truckload expedite using our sister company, Kenmar Express.

90% of all loads we handle are subject to the toughest performance standards in the business and our claims rate over the past 12 years is less than 1/10th of 1%.
