Knight Hollow Nursery Inc operates as a wholesale plant propagator that specializes in micropropagation, producing material through sterile culture and scaled cloning. It provides wholesale growers with unique, high-value plant specimens and, in particular, contracts as the exclusive propagator for patented woody ornamentals and other difficult-to-multiply plants. Based in Middleton, Wisconsin, the company is positioned in the wholesale sector, focusing on providing propagation services to its customers. The foundational method traces to the late 1970s at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where researchers refined sterile culture-based reproduction; Knight Hollow Nursery was established to meet the resulting demand for these services.
