Koelsch Gallery is a Houston, Texas-based space focused on outsider, folk, self-taught, contemporary, and visionary art. With more than three decades in operation, it stands among Houston's few institutions dedicated to these genres and presents artists across a range of media. The gallery works with artists at different career stages, from aspiring to established, providing a venue that emphasizes authenticity and connection. Its approach seeks to broaden what counts as art and who can be considered a creator, attempting to blur the boundary between the unconventional and the mainstream. A notable development in its history is a 2015 partnership with Axiom Contemporary.
