Kolbe Academy is a Catholic educational institution based in Napa, California, that centers its approach on the liberal arts as a conduit to truth, wisdom, and virtue. Its program aims to develop students into classically educated individuals with a mature intellect and a readiness to respond to a call to holiness. Founded in 1980 by three families, the school is named for a 20th-century Polish Franciscan priest and draws on the Ignatian method of education. The school serves students seeking a Catholic, classical education and seeks to cultivate intellectual formation alongside character development. As a mid-sized religious institution, Kolbe Academy operates within the Catholic education sector with a focus on formational schooling. A recent development, in November 2023, is a partnership with Gauzy Ltd to apply LCG Smart Glass technology to select window and door products to enable on-demand privacy.
