Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad is a Malaysia-based company with a long history in plantation activities, and it is listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia. Its core business centers on oil palm and rubber plantations, supported by a land bank of roughly 250,000 hectares across Malaysia and Indonesia, including Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, Belitung Island, Sumatra, and central and east Kalimantan. Since the 1990s it has diversified into resource-based manufacturing, notably oleochemicals, and it has integrated its upstream and downstream activities through KLK OLEO. 

KLK OLEO focuses on basic oleochemicals such as fatty acids, glycerine, fatty alcohols and esters, and has expanded into downstream products to serve its customers. The group has grown through joint ventures and acquisitions in Malaysia, China and Europe, and in 2025 formed a strategic partnership with AAK AB to develop a specialty oils and fats refinery in Pasir Gudang, Johor.
