Kåpan pensioner försäkringsförening (Pensions for government employees, Kåpan) manages defined contribution pensions for Swedish public sector employees. It is a co-operative society where all the surplus from asset management is returned to its members. The society only offers traditional pension insurance. The key task of the society is to manage and pay out pension assets for employees covered by agreements concluded between the Swedish Agency for Government Employers and the government employees’ main unions, or between other parties who have concluded pension agreements linked to such agreements.
