Our Mission: A dynamic learning community sustained by partnerships, La Academia transforms today’s learners into tomorrow’s leaders through innovative instruction, comprehensive scholar supports, cultural competency, and work-based learning. Our Vision: Our scholars will be critical thinkers and global citizens, recognized by their commitment to lifelong learning and meaningful contributions to the world. Founded in 1998 as a community-centered choice public charter school, La Academia Partnership Charter School is a small and safe learning environment where we build community through a project-based curriculum, cultural learning, and dual language focus (English and Spanish). There are up to 225 scholars enrolled in our school, and we keep class sizes small by diversifying our course options. Over 95% of our population identifies as black or Hispanic. We serve the local Lancaster County community as the only brick & mortar choice school. Our greatest strength comes from our close-knit community which allows us to expand upon traditional public education choices by going beyond the content to help our scholars build essential skills such as critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication. We provide 100% free lunch to our scholars and operate as a Title 1 school.
